Frequently Asked Questions

1.  What is hosting?
When you have a web site designed, you have to connect it to the internet in order for others to see it.  To connect it to the internet, you store it on a special computer called a Server.  This server is always connected to the internet.  When someone tries to access your web site by typing in your domain name (yourwebsite.com) your web site information is accessed from the server.
2.   Why do I have to pay hosting every month or quarterly?
You pay a hosting fee monthly or quarterly because your web site is taking up space on our servers.  A hosting fee is essentially a rental fee for using space on our servers.

3.  What is an e-commerce web site?

9.  What is a domain name?
A domain name is simply your internet address, yourwebsite.com.  Domain names have two parts - the label and the extension.  In yourwebsite.com, "Your Web Site" is the label and "com" is the extension (also called a top-level domain).  Domain names are available in a variety of extensions, the most popular being .com, .net, and .org.

No, we are not your domain name company.
